Bryon grew up in the south west of Western Australia, from a rural background. He moved to Perth at fifteen years old, working in the manufacturing and building industry for some years before joining the military services at seventeen. His military services brought him to Townsville and he has been here ever since. He left the services to marry a cane farmer’s daughter. He then went back to work in the manufacturing and building industry which led him into the transport industry. After a work accident, he was unable to return to the transport industry and he made the decision to teach and share his knowledge and experience in the industry alongside the team at Graduate School of Motoring.
